RCC Structure Demolition in Bangalore

Almost every modern building in Bangalore is a reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structure – slabs, beams and columns tied together with steel. RCC is strong and stiff, which is exactly why demolishing it needs the right equipment and the right sequence. National Building Demolishers provides RCC structure demolition in Bangalore, from single slabs and staircases to complete multi-storey frames and foundations.

RCC Elements We Demolish

  • Roof and floor slabs, sunshades and chajjas
  • Beams, columns and frame structures
  • Staircases, lift walls and shear walls
  • Overhead tanks, sumps and septic tanks
  • Retaining walls, compound walls and ramps
  • Footings, plinth beams, pedestals and machine foundations

Equipment We Use

  • Hydraulic rock breakers on excavators for heavy concrete
  • Long-boom excavators for reaching upper floors
  • Hydraulic crushers and pulverisers to crush concrete and free the steel
  • Electric and pneumatic breakers for manual work on upper floors and tight spots
  • Gas cutters to cut reinforcement bars
  • JCB loaders and tipper trucks for debris

Sequence and Load Paths

In an RCC frame, slabs rest on beams and beams rest on columns. Removing them in the wrong order can bring a floor down suddenly. We always remove elements in the reverse order of how they carry load: slabs before beams, and beams before columns, working from the top down.

Selective RCC Work

For renovations we also cut new openings, remove a single slab or staircase, or take down an extra floor without disturbing the rest of the structure. In these cases we check the structure before starting and follow your engineer’s advice on any temporary support needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you remove a single RCC slab or column?

Yes. We do selective RCC work, but removing a column or beam can affect the rest of the building. We assess the structure first and, where needed, work with your structural engineer.

Do you cut RCC or break it?

Both. Breakers are fastest for full demolition. For precise openings or work next to parts that must stay, we use controlled manual breaking and cutting.

What happens to the reinforcement steel?

The steel is separated from the concrete, collected and valued as scrap, and adjusted against your cost.

Do you remove footings and piles?

We remove footings, plinth beams and pedestals. Deep piles need special assessment; we will advise at the site visit.
